Meet "DJ LK4"
My name is Louie, I initially began DJ'ing when I was around 10 years old after my older cousin introduced me to the business while he was working with a local DJ company. I easily fell in love with the art of music and lighting. It didn't take long until I had my very own Gemini Sound System and American DJ Lighting Setup that I begged my parents to get me for Christmas when I was just 11 years old. For anyone who knows anything about sound systems or lighting, this setup wasn't great quality and certainly wasn't compact, but to 11 year old me, it was the world. After I finally had my own setup I began DJ'ing graduation parties, birthday parties, and at the local lodges (Elks, VFW, Eagles, Moose) mostly. Being so young I was of course unable to drive myself to these local gigs, therefore my parents were kind of my own personal chauffeurs, lol. This was my life outside of school until around 16 years old when I was finally able to drive myself.
Needless to say DJ'ing quickly became a passion and not just a hobby for me. Throughout the years I have upgraded my gear more times than I can count, had probably one to many DJ names that should've never been used (haha), learned more about music, lighting, and becoming a master of ceremonies, and met many amazing people along the way. I went from local backyard parties to local bars, and now I specialize in weddings, school dances, and stages. I started Katona Kreations in 2010, when I decided this was something I wanted to continue doing for the rest of my life.
In 2014 is when I started dating my now wife, Kelsey. We married on 09/23/2017 and have 3 beautiful children, Brysen, Addi, and Louie V. She has always had a passion for music, much like I have, which makes the decision to have her work alongside me an easy one. In October 2017 my wife and I chose to expand our business, we began a Photo Booth Setup. She runs the Photo Booth and I run the Sound & Lighting. We're like the new century of Bonnie and Clyde, only less violent. (haha) We're a team in this business and we hope that one day our kids will follow in our foot steps!
(Yes my wife's the one who actually wrote this, lol)
